Joint real estate

If two people own a home that is vaccant at this time and Person A pays the house payment as well as ins and upkeep to property, Can Person B which pays for nothing rent the propery out? Without knowlegde of Person A?

Absent a seperate agreeemnt, either owner may rent the place out. Each owner is entitled to half of the rental payemnt and each owner is responsible for half of the expenses of upkeep. I assuem you are the one that paid for the upkeep. It appears that you are owed half the rental fee plus half of what you spent on maintenance and upkeep.
