Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Without a lease, what are the tennents allowed to take

If you have a verbal agreement only and the tennents gave notice to vacate the office building, what are the laws reguarding the removal of furniture such as an 8 foot counter that is bolted to the floor. This piece of furniture is built into the decor making it appear as a divider between the waiting room and the receptionist area. Can they remove it or not?

Re: Without a lease, what are the tennents allowed to take

You still have not provided all of the information needed to give a specific answer. However, generally, where the tenant put a divider/counter into teh space, and bolted it to the floor, it remains the property of teh tenant, as long as the surface can be repaired to reverse the effects of having holes driolled in it, and it does not leave agaiping hole in the carpet, such as where the carpet was installed around it, and not under it.

Good Luck,
