Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

I live in a house and my landlord said if i stay in the house for 5 years they will give me the house, but now they have sold the property to someone else without telling me is there anything I can do.

contracts that cannot be completed within ayear should be in writing in order to enforce them in court. Hopefully, the landlord put this offer in writing. If not, your only option may be to buy the house from the new owner.. You should consult directly with a civil practice attorney in your area. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. Take all your paperwork with you.
