Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

We have been living in our apartment going on 6 years. It's time to renew our lease and they want us to pay an extra $200 for our security deposit. Can they legally do that?

Landlords and tenants are free to contact as they wish, within reason. They cannot change your security deposit in the middle of the lease. But, they can propose new tells terms for a new lease. You're free to walkway, if you can't agree on terms.
