Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

We missed our court date for a lawsuit concerning unlawfully occupying the residence and now they say a judgement has already been filed against us and we will have to get a lawyer to fix it. Is there any other way to get this fixed so we don't have to leave our home?

In Missouri, you havew short time in which to get defautl judgment set aside. Since this involves your residence, you should consult direclty with an attorney in your area as soon as you can. Many offer a free or low cost initial consultation. You were not able to provide enough information here to determine if the judgment can be set aside. Tell the attonrey, that you consult with, all the information about what has happend. Bring a copy of anything you have gotten from the plaintiff, their attorney or the Court. Answer the attorney's questions, and you may learn a lot in a short time.

Good luck
