Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
My mother wants to add my name on her house. I downloaded a Quit claim deed will I need to submit a property legal description as well?

If you want the deed to stand up to a legal attack later, it is best that your mother make the deed as legally correct as possible. If there is no legal description (worse yet an incorrect one) the transfer may be vulnerable to attach from other interested parties. Of course the deed will mean little if anything until it is propertly recorded with the county. If you want to make sure you get the property to yourself later, you would do well to employ and attorney to assist in the transfer. Many attornies offer a free or low cost initial consultation. It should not be too expensive to have them draft the deed for you, or examine/critique what you have drafted.
