neighbor has dead tree that is angled to fall onto my property - actually will reach bedroom. he said to wait until it falls and contact my homeowners insurance; but when it falls it will hit bedroom with family in there.

Don't wait for a calamity that you can predict. Call your insurance agent, see if the insurer will pay for a tree service to minimize the loss.
