Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
My partner has just had a 'stroke'...
He is 34 and we have a son, and have lived together and paid bills together for six years now. We were having dinner and he became ill and is in the hospital. I called his mother and father and they came to be with him. They are now demanding I give them his credit cards, his check book, basically all of his personal items. Do I have to give these items to them. I have not done this up to now. What do you recommend??

"He" is an adult, and his parents have no more legal authority over him than you do unless they have a power of attorney or some other legal document.
