Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
I would like to know how to take possession of a mobile home on property that is rented to the mobile home owner. This individual is $2000 behind in rent and shows little interest in repaying that debt. I have have offered to have a lean put on the title to ensure he retains ownership and i recieve payment; that reasonable offer was immediately rejected. I am to the point I simply want possession of the home and and an end to the problem. Eviction has been suggested however once the home has been moved collecting the debt may become impossible. Any help that you can provide would be greatly appreciated; thank you.

You can sue the renter and obtain a money judgement. Then you can be sure that the judgment is transcribed if necessary so that it becomes a lien (not a "lean") on the personal property owned by the renter which presumably includes the mobile home itself. Then you can file an execution to enable the sheriff to seize the mobile home and have it sold at a sheriff's sale. I would suggest that you hire an atrtorney to represent you.
