Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Problem with other tenant

A neighbor asked me to sleep on the living room sofa because, when I get up between 5 and 6 am, I wake her up. She also asked if I could leave my garage door up when I come in after 10 pm. Our garages are in the basement of our buildings. She said she had problems with the previous tenants making noises too. I told her that I couldn't leave the garage door open because prowlers and animals could get into the building and I would continue to sleep in my own bedroom.

I'm a new tenant here and can't afford to move so soon. Can her complaints to the landlord get me evicted? Can I get my deposit back in order to move again because the landlord didn't mention this nut's obvious problems?

Re: Problem with other tenant

She is a tenant, you are a tenant. Your rights and duties are equal. Tell her to get a life. Or, tell her to move to another apartment.
