Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
We purchased a home that was listed with 1.6 acres. We are now going to sell and our new agent pulled the tax records and it shows us only having .75 acres. Can we sue? If so, who should we go after and what amount could we sue for?

You should look to the title company that insured the title for the 1.6 acres. If you did nto purchase title insurance, you might complain to your parents for raising a fool. If the realtor/broker that sold the property to you advertised it as being 1.6 acres, then you might still have a claim worth making. If they adi if is aobut 1.6 acres, then you might stil lahva claim. But, you really shoudl go after whichever of the professioanls that trold you you wre buying 1.6 acres. No matter who you go after, your measure of damages would be either the differnec ein value, or the fight to claim the remainder of the parcel that you were buying.
