Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
Recently I had some property for sale. A gentleman contacted me and offered to buy it. This gentleman and I signed a contract, via a local title company, for him to purchase the property after the sell of his home. His home sold approximately two weeks later. However, this gentleman refused to follow with our signed contract. Is he bound by this contract?
Thank you for any help,
David.

Without having seen your specific sale contract, it is impossible to give you specific advice as to yrou situation. However, generally speaking court do nto often force someone to buy aproperty. They do, sometimes, order that the buyer make the seller whole, by recompensing the seller for the costs incurred by the buyers' decision to renege ont eh sale.
Good luck
