Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

sale of house

My ex-stepmother just sold the property her and my father owned 39 years ago when he died. I have never received ANYTHING from this property, and now she has sold it. She wants me to sign off on it (it's deeded in my name, hers and her daughters) and says she gets 50% of the proceeds and my half sister and myself will split the other half. Can she determine who gets what?

Re: sale of house

How could she sell the property if it was owned by the three of you? Wouldn't all three of you have to sign the sales contract? Something tells me that there is more to this story. I would strongly suggest that you consult with an attorney and have the legal documents reviewed in order to get definitive advice about your legal rights. Good luck.
