Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

Can seller back out of contract

We recently signed a contract for a property. The closing is within three weeks. So far we have met the contingencies of the contract. Now the seller does not want to sell us the home anymore due to more money being offered for the property. Will the seller be able to break the contract with us?

Re: Can seller back out of contract

the answer depends in part on the terms of the contract. read it carefully. generally you would have the right to sue for any damages incurred or for specific perfomance-to compel the seller to complete as agreed.if the seller balks hire a lawyer.
