Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
My sister has the deed to real estate property. Her ex-husband paid for it in full. They have agreed to a quitclaim transfer because my sister is tired of paying taxes, utilities, and upkeep. He lives out of state. Can they transfer this property by mail somehow so he doesn't have to travel out of state?

Yes. She should pay an attorney to prepare the deed. I would want to be sure that the property is, in fact, titled in her name alone. Also, if the property is in the City of St. Louis for instance, the deed will need both Grantor and Grantee signatures. Why doesn't she sell the property?
