Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

My sister and I are joint owners of about 80 acres. She is ready to build there. We would like to split the property in 1/2 without a survey. However, we would also like something that states the property line may be ammended when a future survey is complete. What is the best way to handle this And, can we just write our own agreements and sign them? Are there any forms of this nature on the internet, free for printing? Thanks.

You and your sister can quit claim deed half of the property to you, and then quit claim deed the other lad to her. You will include the legal description of the specific parcel in each deed. Seperately, you and your sister canm contract to alter the transfers later, if the legal descriptions are later whown to not equally divide the larger land. You woudl be fool to ty this with any free form you get off the internet, but you are free to try to do that.

Good luck
