Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri

title ownership

we were given a mobile home in september of 2007. when we received the title from the guy him and his wife signed their names in the wrong place then scratched it out and signed in another wrong spot. however where they signed is reassignment by registered dealer. and the license office said we had to get this affidavit signed by both husband and wife but we can no longer find them. what can we do . the circuit clerk office said something about a declaratory judgement but i am not sure how to go about this.
