Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Missouri
Two unmarried people both with names on house and mortgage. 1person leaves the area and incurs debt out of state. Other person continues to live in house with house payments current. When person in house tries to refinance house, finds out there are two liens against house because of the debts incurred by the other person. Can the person living the house sign a quit claim deed taking her name off the property and the mortgage giving the house completely back to the other person without incurring any financial debt?
