worthless tenant
Tenant trashed the apartment and wont pay rent. Im poor, can I evict without hiring a lawyer. The Jefferson county circuit court says I need to hire a lawyer because there is a certain for which needs to be filled our to start the eviction. Question - can I evict a tenant without a lawyer, would you send me the paperwork I need. Is there a way I can use the court system to get the money she owes me? Do lanlords have any rights, I would like to throw her out without going through the court system.

Re: worthless tenant
Landlords do have rights. If your tenant is not paying rent, the landlord has the right to evict that tenant. You do not have to have an attorney but I suggest that you do because you must follow the law with respect to proper notice, then a complaint and other documents to evict the tenant.
