Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in Missouri

Harassment

Where I work I was harassed by a co-worker both sexually and otherwise for over a year and a half. This employee was then fired after harassing another employee. We were both told to be escorted to and from the building after the harasser was let go.The coporation, who has a zero tolerance policy, then said six weeks later that my company could not fire the employee and has since been hired back to another department. The harasser seems to go out of thier way to be in the lunchroom the same time we are and just sits there and glares at us. We have changed our lunch hour several times only to find that the harasser is doing the same. I do not feel safe at my job and am impaired by not being comfortable to go see co-workers who sit in the same area as the harasser. What legally can I do and what laws are there to protect me from being a victim of the company?

Re: Harassment

I'm involved in a few sexual harrassment matters in NJ. Generally, you will be expected to use the options available to you through the company. If you still have problems, contact the state division of civil rights, or contact a lawyer.
