Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri

Boyfriend in Trouble Again.....

My boyfriend is in trouble again, he was caught speeding in a construction zone without insurance. He told me that he wasn't speeding on the highway but that he must have entered a consturction zone without realizing it. When driving this same stech of highway the next day, the construction zone wasn't very noticeably marked or not marked well enough to see after dark. When he was pulled for speeding and asked to see his proof of insurance (which he has none) he could not show proof of insurance and was issued a second ticket. My question is what are the consiquences he is to expect by missouri state law for speeding in a construction zone and driving without insurance?

Re: Boyfriend in Trouble Again.....

Your boyfriend should hire an attorney to represent him on these charges. If he is convicted or pleads guilty as charged he will face a very substantial fine (several hundred dollars in most courts) and he will face a suspension of his driver's license. With an attorney, if he gets insurance as required by law, he should be able to keep his license and maybe even save some money. If he is not already represented by legal counsel, he may call me for a free telephone consultation at 314-727-2822.
