Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
My car slid on a wet spot, spun around and hit a utility pole in Iron County Missouri. I was issued a ticket for failure to maintain my lane resulting in an accident. No other vehicles involved only property damage. I didn't leave my lane until I was spinning around. Should I fight this in court or just pay the fines? Will I get points on my license? Thanks

If you plead guilty you will receive points on your driving record. This is a situation where your best option may be to hire an attorney to negotiate a plea bargain that will avoid the conviction and the points even though you did not do anything wrong. I handle such cases all of the time. Please feel free to contact me. No matter what, you should consult with an attorney.
