Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
My friend and I the other night went to go steal a street sign, thankfully we didn't get it down. Well the neighborhood called the cops on us anyways, and they cops showed up. They questioned us, then let us go! However, I'm not sure if they knew, (but they had to of) that the sign was off its henges and slid down the pole. Can the cops go back on their word and come find me and arrest us now?

Yes, you might be charged with property damage or attempt to steal city property or any offense which fits the facts. If charges are filed, it is possible that a warrant will be issued for your arrest. What in the world would ever lead you to believe that a cop would not go back on his word?
