Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
I live near a school that has since closed. The speed limit before and after the school is 30mph. However, there is still a sign before the school that says "School Zone 20mph On School Days When Children are Present." There are always police running radar in front of the school. My question is this: do I have to slow down to 20mph? There is no school there anymore, and children are not present. Nor is it a school day.

I know of no appellate decision on this point. But, if one we3re citred, they might deenda by arguing that if the building is no longer being used as aschool, there are no school days. You might try walking up to one of hte officers running radar and ask them for their interpretatio as to whether there is still achool zone since there is no longer a school, and if there is ever a school day on this street.
Good luck
