Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
Marked traffic lane/failure to appear in court
My wife was given a ticket for a traffic lane violation in Pleasant Valley, MO. Then she accidentally missed the court date. It appears that she now has another $250 to pay for this oversight. Are there any options for her to fight the no court appearance? Could there be additional costs if she goes to court on the next one-time continuance issued by the court? I am trying to figure out if we are better off paying the ticket and the fees for the missed court date rather than going to court on the next date set-up by the court?

Re: Marked traffic lane/failure to appear in court
Seeing that your wife was cited for failure to appear, she may do better having an attorney attempt to obtain a plea agreement with the prosecutor and explaining her prior absence to the court.
Good Luck
