Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
Pregnant, single, uninsured step daughter rearended car
My adult stepdaughter who lives in Missouri was involved in an accident where she was going too fast and rearended a car with a couple, who's car was pushed into another car. The people in both vehicles claim they may have back injuries. My stepdaughter is single, 7 months pregnant, was driving her car that was uninsured, with expired tags, and was purchased over a year ago from a relative. She had never re registered the vehicle. To top it off, she had her license suspended a couple of years ago for driving with expired tags on another vehicle, and while searching the vehicle, the Police found some marijuana. What should she do legally?

Re: Pregnant, single, uninsured step daughter rearended car
First, your step-daughter should hire an attorney to represent her on any charges brought against her for the marijuana. Second, your step-daughter should hire an attorney to represent her on any traffic tickets (such as driving while suspended, driving with no insurance, bad registration, careless &imprudent driving and so forth). Third, your step-daughter should hire an attorney to represent her upon all of the claims the other people involved will certainly bring against her for property damge and personal injury. Also, your step-daughter will probably need to hire an attorney to assist her with the department of revenue regarding her privilege to drive an automobile in Missouri. If she is located within the geographical area where my practice is concentrated, I would be able to help her with all of this upon being retained to do so. Either you or your step-daughter are welcome to call me at 314-727-2822 for a free telephone consultation if you so desire. In any event I wish you both the best of luck.
