Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
Radar Readout upon Request
I have heard that when a police officer pulls you over for speeding and writes a ticket that they are requied to show you a radar read out or some form of proof that they caught you speeding per your request. Is this true? Is it a law?
If so then what are the consequnces if they do not? If not what proof do they have that you were accually speeding or are we supposed to simply take the police officer's word for it?

Re: Radar Readout upon Request
The police do NOT have to show you a radar readout, and, in fact, Judges and juries too quite often simply do take the officer's word for it.
