my son was in a car accident driving my car he was not on the insurance and the accident was his faultwhat is the worst that could happen to us

You could be.jointly liable with him, and your insurer could refuse to cover your portion. But, it is likely that it won't be that bleak. Your insurer will likely cover the other driver's damages, but may not cover the damage to your car, or your Son's medical bills.
If your insurance company isn't accepting the claim, you need to consult directly with a civil practice attorney very soon.
