Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri

suspended License

My license is suspended in PAGEDALE due to running a red light. I never new my license was suspended until I was pulled over and the police officer let me go with no citations. Im sure I should get a lawyer to have the ticket amended to maybe a moving violation, will the judge still fine me for the actualy red light incident or will it be the charges of the moving violation. What cost should I estimate from a laywer and Fines?

Re: suspended License

Your license was supended by the Missouri Department of Revenue for not taking care of the Pagedale ticket. There might also be an active warrant in the system because of that ticket. IF so, an attorney can get the warrant cancelled and may also be able to get the oringinal charge amended to a non-moving violation so that you would not take a conviction and would not receive points on your driving record, but there is no guarantee that the prosecutor and judge will go along with a deal after you failed to take care of this properly in the first place. Once the Pagedale ticket is taken care of, the ttorney will have the clerk notify the Missouri Department fo Revenue so that your driver's license can be reinstated. A reasonable fee would be $250, and you will have to pay the City of Pagedale fines and court costs on top of that. Good luck.
