Legal Question in Traffic Law in Missouri
Tickets
I was pulled over today and recieved two tickets. The police officer that gave me the tickets did not have me sign them. Am I still responsible for the tickets?

Re: Tickets
In a word, "Yes." Your signature on a ticket only represents your promise to appear in court or otherwise take care of the charge, and has no effect on the validity of the ticket. If you do not take care of it, a warrant will be issued for your arrest and you may also be charged with the separate offense of "failure to appear". No matter where you are located in Missouri you should be able to find a competent attorney who can be of valuable service to you on these tickets. You do not want to plead guilty and just pay the fine because you will probably wind up with points being assessed against your driving record which at the very least will be costly for you in the long run.
