Bank Accounts without POD or TOD

What happens to a deceased persons bank accounts if there is not POD or TOD - is it distributed per the wills instructions? What would happen if the person that is named in the POD or TOD is deceased?

Re: Bank Accounts without POD or TOD

The funds from these accounts would most probably be placed with the other assets in the deceased person's estate and administered in accordance with the instructions in the will. If there is what is known as a P.O.D. payee designated on the account(payee of the deceased person named in the P.O.D.), this person would be entitled to the funds.
