I have a beneficiary deed leaving my
house and land to my son. I also have
setup a transfer on death for my bond

Re: beneficiary deeds and transfer on death
You will avoid probate if nobody opens an estate for you. It would be good to have a will that refers to your other transfer documents. It could be safeguard for your heirs and beneficaries. It may not to be used, but your seem to be interested in covering the options.
Good Luck
