cancelling a power of attorney

my 85 year old grandmother drew up a power of attorney with my mother (her daughter) and has since had a falling out with each other, my grandmother would like to cancel out the power of attorney with her daughter, how to we go about that?

Re: cancelling a power of attorney

Assuming that your grandmother is competent she should follow the language in the power of attorney, if any; otherwise she should sign a document revoking the Power of Attorney. She should see an attorney to do this - I would suggest the attorney who drafted the instrument. It is important to let the daugher know that it has been revoked, as well as any banks or other institutions who may be honoring it.
