Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

I am trying to claim $90.76 that is in the possession of the state of IL unclaimed property division. I reside in St. Louis County, MO. My rights as an heir are not in question. But they say in order to collect it I have to file 4 small estate affidavits with St. Louis County. 1 each for my grandfather, grandmother, mother, and father. They say it is because the money would have gone from my grandfather's estate, to my grandmother's, to my mother's and finally to my father's. Does this interpretation make sense? Is it correct? Is there an alternative? Each filing is $67.00, plus it appears I have to have an attorney file them. All this to collect $90.76?

As a practical matter it does not make sense to pursue this $90.76.
