My Name is Cody Lowery and my fathers name is Micheal dwane Lowery and he past away about march of 2009. My father was in the airforce as a staff sergent. My family has been trying to get ahold of his will because my grandmother told our family that me and my 2 brothers were on this will but didnt get to see exactly what it was, But of course its in the possession of my step mothers father because my step mother went crazy every since he died. Her father will not let anyone see it and no one know how to get a copy or how to get it from him. What should i do so we can see the will?

You are about a year late in seeking an attorney. If you father passed away in Missouri in March of 2009, his Will woudl only have been effective up t the anniversary of his death in March 2010. Now, you can seek a Determiantion of Heirship. The property your father had at the time of his death will pass as if there were no will. Some will go to his widow, and some may go to the children he had prior to marrying her. You should contact a probate attorney in the Missouri county where your father lived.
