Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

Dear Sirs, I was recently informed of my grandmothers passing( she passed in May 2011). No family members notified me. Having no other immediate family, my younger brother and I were her sole heirs. I found out that a "second cousin" had bullied her into giving him power of atty. As the eldest male heir, I feel this should have been delegated to me. I also found out that he took 25% of the entire estate. As no one notified me of my grandmothers passing, the entire estate ( less the 25%) was given to my younger brother. I know that my grandmother intended her estate to be divided equally between my brother and myself. My question is: 1) Do I have any recourse to recover my inheritance, and 2) Is there any way to recover the 25% that I believe was fraudulently obtained ? thank you for your time

If your grandmother died in Missouri, it is too late to contest het Will. But, if there is any property that hasn't been transferred, you can sue to get your share. Thus is based upon the few facts you provided. Yiu should consult directly with a probate attorney in your area, yo get specific advice.

Good luck
