Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri
I am from a familly of 8 and the question is can the executor sell my parents house without approval from all sibblings?
1 Answer from Attorneys
In Missouri we have Personal Representatives, which are called executors in some other states. The PR can sometimes sell estate assets to cover claims against the estate, or to allow for dispersing to beneficaries and heirs. Therefore, There is no absolute bar to a PR selling a home without the consent of all of the decedent's surviving children. If you think that your interests may not be protected, you might consult directly with a probate attorney in the county where the estate is. Man yy offer a free or low cost initial consultation. You might need to hire counsel to represent your interests in the estate.
Good luck
