Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

My father has some life insurance policies that my name is not on. His girlfriends name is on the policies. As his next of kin does it matter that the girlfriends name is listed on there or am I entitled to be the beneficiary on his policies?

There is no requirement that adult chidlren be listed as a benficary in a life insurance policy, unless a court has ordered the policy holder to name the child as a beneficary.
