My father passed, I was wondering how can I find out if a will was filed and if so the details of the will.

Call or visit the probate clerk's office in the County where your father resided. If an estate has been opened you may view all of its contents, including the will -- it is all public record.

If he was a resident in the State of Missouri you can also try this website:

Sometimes it can be a little difficult to navigate. It will tell you of case activity, but you will not be able to see the actual will without visiting the probate court.

You should also receive a notice in the mail concerning opening of the estate unless the person applying does not know your whereabouts.
