My fiance's ex wife opened a probate shortly after he comited suicide. The probate shays it needs a bond of $79,000.00 what does that exactly mean

I am sorry to hear of your loss. The bond is to reimburse any heirs/devisees or creditors that might be defrauded or cheated by the PR's (ex wife) mismanagment of the assets of the estate. It is a bond that allows the PR to handle the assets while assuring the Probate Court that there are funds there to things right if she steals or screws up. These types of bonds are written by insurance or surety companies as opposed to the bail bondsman type things that are done in criminal cases.
