If one seeks to quash the foreclosurte action, it couldf delay or stop the foreclosure. If one files for chapter 13 bankruptcy, it may delay or stop the foreclosure action. If one fiels chapter 7 bankruptcy, it will delay the foreclosure action. Obviously teh best way to stop aforeclosure is to pay the party tha tis foreclosing. Sometimes this is doen by selling part of all the property or by obtaining a loan.
