Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

A lady I work with has not seen her "deadbeat husband" (her words) in 8+ years. Now she wants to collect her pension. The pension company said he is entitled to 50%, and must sign off on his rights to the money. The husband has never paid any child support and is nowhere to be found. What are her rights in this situation. Joe,,

Youre friend may need to divorce her husband in abstentia. That may allow her to get all her pension.
