Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

My landlord took my front door off my house where bugs pests and animails can come in as they please.. I have a new born baby.. is that legal for him to take my door off my house because I'm late on rent?

Taking the door off of rental property, as punishment for late rent, is prohibited under Missouri law. You need to discuss your particular situation directly with an attorney in yoa. Tell them you have a constructive eviction matter. The law has a civil process for eviction. Landlords that resort to other means, can be fined. It may be that your landlord now owes you money, or will be unable to evict you. Get caught up on your rent obligation as soon as possible.
