Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

Lawsuit money

My nephew's mother died, he is under age and everything is in a probate account. My mother-in-law is his guardian. Now he is expecting to get some money from a lawsuit involving his mother's death. We need to know if this money is supposed to go into the account set up by the court or if this is seperate?

Re: Lawsuit money

I assume that there is already a guardian ad litem for your nrphew, or is your mother-in-law acting as guardian in that matter too. Is she personally expecting amy funds from that lawsuit? I would be glad to help you, as I practice in your area. However, you should first go to the attorney who is handling the lawsuit involving the mother's death. You may call me at (816) 537-9770 or email, and I will discuss this with you more.

Good Luck,

Tony Smith
