Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri
I paid off a home loan for my father-in-law. He placed my wife(his daughter) and myself on the deed. If he owes debit at his death can someone claim that property to pay the debit?

If he reencumbers the property again, that debt can be collected through foreclosure. If he goes into a nursing home, and relies on medicare within the next the years, the transfer to you can be negated (with alliance for what you paid) Otherwise, a creditor would probably gave to get a judgment against him, before he passes away. This assumes that the addition of you and your wife was done correctly, and with right of survivorship.
You may want to have an attorney look at the documents.
Good luck
