Do I have to probate my deceased Mother's will?

My mother passed away in July 19999. My sister and I are the only beneficiaries. All that she had left was a house, and some tax, medical and charge card bills. Do I have to probate her will or is there another less expensive, faster way to disolve the estate, sell the house and pay off all of her outstanding bills? My sister and I are in agreement on everything.

If your mother's home is in her name alone, then you will need to file probate. The cost of this process will depend on the attorney's in your area.
