Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

I'm asking a question about a will for a friend that doesn't have a computer. She has a will and wants to delete one of her children from the will. Can she write a simple codicil, have it witnessed by 2 people, notorized and it be legal? She is elderly, has little funding and doesn't want to go back to the lawyer that wrote the will

This would be very dangerous. Try going to a different lawyer if there is a lack of comfort. There are technical requirements that must be filed. This does seem to be contradictory. What is she disposing of with the will if she has so little funding?
