Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

My recently deceased mother was an employee of a major manufacturing company in Missouri. According to the Profit Sharing Trust and Employee Stock Ownership Plan Department, I need a copy of her trust, which I am sure she did not have. I am an only child, and she was unmarried. Her employer cannot (will not) move forward with the transfer or distribution of stock etc. until I provide a copy of her trust indicating a trustee etc. I have her last will and testament, death certificate and numerous other items indicating that I am her only legal heir. What can I use in lieu of the trust is she does not have one.

I feel certain that I responded to this earlier. The question is: Did Mom have a trust? If so, so you have a copy? If so, give it to them. If she had a trust and did NOT have a copy how do you know she had a trust? You may be able to contact the attorney who drafted the will to find out. If there is no trust then just tell the company. Has the will been probated? If so, contact the attorney who handled probate. If it hasn't been probated, why not?

Have teh will admitted to probate. The probate estate acting through the personal representative (probably you) can get the documents from the employer.

Good luck
