Ok here is the deal my father inlaw pasted away leaving almost everything in my husbands name except the house and a few cars, cds and bonds his sister lives in texas and is going to make things very hard to deal . Does my husband have a better chance of getting this settled b/c things were in his name like bank accts life insurance. Retirement.

I do not see how it would be possible for an attorney to provide a very helpful response to your post. You do no ttell us how your father in law left everything in your husband's name. Do you mean in a Will? Do you mean things were tititled in joint names? Were things titled with "t.o.d.'s" or "p.o.d.'s"? Was there a beneficiary deed on any real estate? you see, an attorney would need toknow all of the relevant facts in order to be able to advise your husband. I strongly suggest that he consult with an attorney.
