Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Missouri

transfer on death on automobile that is not paid for.

My fiance left me his 2007 chevy uplander on transfer on death. The car is not paid for and is finaced through gmac.I made half the car payments while he was alive and was advised to make the whole car payment while the credit life was being filed. I was advised by his sons attorney last week that the credit life was denied. His children blocked me from getting any information from GMAC or Cardif life insurance company. So Iam in the dark about what is going on. is the estate which his two children are administrators, libel to pay the car off since the car is a gift. And the transfer on death proves it. Thank you.

The children are adminstrators of a trust or persoanl representative(s) of a probate estate. Since the car was titled, TOD, it may nto be part of either. It appears that you may have to pay off the loan to keep the car. However, you should contact the credit life insurer, GMAC and contact an attorney directly, tcko determine your legal position. Do this before the next payment is due.
